Learn how to use Balabrain
What is Balabrain?
Bala means power, strength in Sanskrit. Balabrain is where that strength meets your own mind — a tool for bringing your brain back into balance.
Life pulls us in a thousand directions. Stress, overthinking, restlessness, exhaustion — your nervous system is doing its best. Balabrain gives you a way to gently steer it back toward center. Two pure sine tones, one in each ear, create a subtle difference frequency that you can tune to match how you actually feel in this moment.
There are no wrong settings. No scores. No subscriptions. Just you, your headphones, and a space to recalibrate.
Follow the Feeling
Balabrain guides you through three simple steps — you’ll see them appear on screen when you start a session:
Settle
Gently adjust the Offset and notice what shifts. The sensation may soften, spread, or dissolve entirely. Breathe. Move slowly. Stay curious.
Tip: Slow, small movements work best. This is a felt practice, not a technical one.
Tone Character
A colored dot next to the controls shows the character of your current tone — from Calm (cool blue) to Energetic (warm yellow). As you adjust Pitch and Offset, the color moves with you. It’s a quiet compass for where you are in the tone space.
8D Audio
An optional spatial effect that gently rocks the volume between your left and right ear over time. It creates a subtle sense of motion — like sound is breathing around you.
Find the toggle in the volume card: Off (default), Slow (12-second cycle), or Medium(7-second cycle). The effect stays subtle by design — your frequencies stay separated and clean.

Tap any preset to load its settings, then tweak from there. When you find something that works, save it as a Toneprintusing the heart icon in the header.
Saving Your Settings
Found a combination that works? Tap the heart icon in the header to save your current Pitch, Offset, and Volume as a Toneprint. Each save is automatically numbered (Part #1, #2, etc.) so you can build a library of what works for you.
Saved toneprints appear in the dialog — tap one to load it, or delete ones you no longer need.
About the Offset
The Offset is the magic ingredient. It controls the difference between your two ears. At 0 Hz both ears hear the same pitch. As you increase it, the left ear rises slightly, creating a difference frequency of 1–20 Hz.
That small gap is what most people feel. Different offsets may feel calmer, sharper, softer, or more expansive. There is no universal right answer — only what is right for you, right now.
